One Round of Gameplay
Dealing – Deal is 3’s and 2’s to each player so each player has 5 cards.

If the 10 of Spades is flipped – you will decide if Trump is going to be Spades. Each players gets to vote if Spades is/is not Trump starting left of the dealer.
If no player wants Spades to be trump – the bidding phase continues (player left of the dealer) can pick and trump suit to be one of the other three suits (hearts/diamonds/clubs) or the player can pass.

Selecting Spades as Trump
If the top of left play tells the dealer to “pick it up” it means the trump is now spades and the dealer has to exchange a card from his/her hand to the deck. Each player should have 5 cards prior to the start of the round.

Game Start
Left of the dealer starts.
- Ace of Hearts Leads
- Queen of Hearts Follows (Must Follow Suit)
- Player 3 Does not Follow Suit – Does not want to trump teammate – plays low off suit – Ace of Hearts is still winning.
- Dealer plays a Trump Card – which is 9 of Spades which wins the trick. Trump cards exceed the value of any off suit card. Can only play Trump because does not have the lead card suit.
- Nine of spade wins this trick.

Second Card
Winner of the Previous Trick Starts.
- Ace of Clubs Leads
- Left of the dealer must follow suit (King of Clubs)
- Player 2 must follow suit (Queen of Clubs)
- Player 3 Must follow suit – chooses to play the lower of two cards because cannot beat the Ace of Clubs.
- Ace of Clubs wins this trick.

3rd Card
Winner of Last Hand Leads
- King of Spades Leads
- No Trump suits – 10 of diamonds gets played. King of Spades still leads
- Teammate plays Big Trump in Hand – Best Card in the round Jack of Spades.
- Jack of Clubs is technically a spade for this round so the opponent has to follow Spades lead to play Jack of Club and lose.
- Partner wins this trick and your team is up 3/5 tricks so far. Which means your team has at least 1 point for this round.

4th Card
Winner of Last Hand Leads
- Ace of Spades Leads – Since both jacks are out this is the best card.
- Cannot follow trump suit – plays Jack of Diamonds
- Must follow Spades – 10 of Spades
- Cannot follow Spades – King of Hearts
- Ace of spade wins this trick.

Fifth Card
Winner of Last Hand Leads
- Jack of Hearts Leads
- King of Diamonds Follows (still is losing the Jack of Hearts because it is not the same suit)
- Dealer Trumps his teammate with the last remaining Spade
- Ace of Diamonds cannot win vs a trump card
- Queen of Spades wins this trick. Winning all 5 tricks means your team won 2 points.
